2 years ago today I walked into the first day of my new job. I was prepared to gain more hands-on job experience with a population I had been wanting to work with. What I was not prepared for was to meet the people I would soon call my second family. The NOW Squad is not like a normal team; we have each other’s back and are there for each other no matter what, no questions asked. When work becomes enjoyable, it’s no longer work. I have met the most inspiring, selfless, and incredible people here, and I am eternally grateful to have joined this team. (at Goodwill of Silicon Valley)
